TippingPointsPromoVideoInterviewTo promote the official album release of 'Tipping Points', Rachel Portman's violin concerto calling for the preservation of nature's beauty, Niklas Liepe released a short film on his Youtube channel which includes interviews with both artists, as well as behind-the-scene footage and in-depth explanations of the different parts of the concerto.

The 'Tipping Points' concerto consists of six movements, and each movement is interwoven with a poem by Nick Drake. The themes of the 25-minute work, both in the music and the poems are about the powers of nature and the confronting emotions triggered by collapsing ecosystems.

I. Invocation: A Different Sound Sings Through Everything
II. Air: Conjurer of Secret Atmospheres
III. Water: Simple Spell Conjuring a New Green World
IV. Fire: We're Losing the Family of Things
V. Earth: The Time is Now to Make Peace with the Earth
VI. Epilogue: Whisper the Forests until they Rise Again

The premiere performance of the full concerto (without the poems) as performed by the WDR Funkhausorchester and conducted by Erina Yashima at the Funkhaus Wallrafplatz last year is also still available on Youtube.
